Random Acts is Channel 4’s short film strand dedicated to the arts. Founded in 2011, it set out to escape the conventions of arts broadcasting and showcase bold, innovative short-form work by artists and creative practitioners.
Short films can do what long explanations often can’t: land a feeling before we’ve had time to wriggle away from it.
We’ve pulled together a few that speak to queer lives, gay memory, bodies, shame, secrecy and finding ourselves in places that were not always built for us.
