PRIDE AND LGBT+ HISTORY
UK Trans Pride
London Trans+ Pride (LTP) was founded in 2019 in response to increasing transphobia. Since then, it has become a significant annual event advocating for trans rights and visibility. LTP is a grassroots trans-led community organisation, operating as a collective of volunteers for and with transgender, non-binary, intersex, and gender-diverse communities in the UK, calling for equity via positive legislative change and radical improvement to education and public healthcare system to recognise and support the needs of trans+ people as much as those of anyone else living in the UK.
Marking its seventh year, London Trans+ Pride 2025 theme is 'Existence & Resistance' underscoring the community's resilience amid increasing political and legal challenges, including recent UK Supreme Court rulings affecting trans rights.
